To our valued clients and friends:
Each year when we distribute our calendars, we include a letter to recap the highlights of the previous year, along with encouragement for the upcoming year. This letter is the only time we perform an agency wide communication, until now.
Prior to Hurricane Matthew, we utilized an electronic communication system called Agency Buzz to send storm updates and claim information to all of our clients; including claim instructions and insurance company contact information, if needed. Hugh Cotton Insurance will use the Agency Buzz to provide pertinent, relevant, and timely information, without the annoyance of Reader’s Digest quotes and diet tips.
The insurance business has changed dramatically over the years. It can be a complicated subject. Policies are contracts that contain limits, deductibles, and exclusions. Often times we are inundated with information, making the decision making process increasingly more difficult. A price decision can have severe contract consequences.
Most agencies are sales-driven. Their posts are often contrived, inauthentic, and ineffective in their communication. They purchase their boilerplate, cookie cutter content and post it under the guise of being the author.
I remain committed to leading my agency in a service-driven way. We will continue to represent the best variety of insurance companies and offer competitive pricing, coupled with personalized guidance through the underwriting, billing, and claims process.
Beginning with this, our introductory edition, I will follow up periodically with personalized and relevant editorials with real life examples. Some subjects we will cover are:
• Agent of Record Letters
• Assignment of Benefits
• The Wolf on Main Street
• Flood Coverage
• The Dos and Don'ts of Rental Cars
• Kids and Cars
• Insurance Companies: What's the best one for me?
• Discrimination and the Law
• Identity Theft
Look for the first issue of Agency Buzz, entitled "What's Under Your Tree?” to follow soon.
Thank you for your business, and have a blessed 2017.
