Leadership
President and CEO Thomas M. Cotton came aboard in 1983 after graduation from Florida State University with a degree in risk management. He is one of an elite few with the professional designations of:
- Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
- Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
- Certified Risk Manager (CRM)
Tom is also a licensed surplus lines broker, a Series VII stock broker, a US Coast guard licensed Captain and Ship Master. He has served on numerous insurance boards and committees as well as participating in the creation of several captive insurance companies – serving on the Board of Directors of two. Tom has also served as:
- President - Independent Insurance Agents of Central Florida
- Chairman of the Board - Florida Association of Insurance Agents
- Member of the Board of Directors - Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America
- Chairman of the Board – INSGROUP*
