Leadership
President and CEO Thomas M. Cotton came aboard in 1983 after graduation from Florida State University with a degree in risk management. He is one of an elite few with the professional designations of:
- Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
- Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
- Certified Risk Manager (CRM)
- Associate in Insurance Account Management (AIAM)
Tom is also a licensed surplus lines broker, a Series VII stock broker, a US Coast guard licensed Captain and Ship Master. He has served on numerous insurance boards and committees as well as participating in the creation of several captive insurance companies serving on the Board of Directors of two. Tom has also served as:
- President - Independent Insurance Agents of Central Florida
- Chairman of the Board - Florida Association of Insurance Agents
- Member of the Board of Directors - Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America
- Chairman of the Board INSGROUP*
